The Wave and Bryce Canyon
Done at 4:55 pm. We started at 1:39. We barely made it back before it got dark!
We also took a different way back than we came, so even though we knew which way to go because we had a GPS, we were hoping we didn't come across any huge cliffs.

We found some flat snow where we could put the tent. No need to worry about rocks poking us.

We managed to start a fire, but it didn't do much to warm us up since it wasn't inside the tent.

Blowing on the fire. I'm not sure if it helped it get bigger or just blew it out!

Freezing to death at Sunrise point. The low was -14 F. The wind chill in this particular spot was really bad--if I breathed in through my nose it would freeze shut!

That was the low from the previous day. It hadn't been updated yet, but the ranger later told us that the low Thurs. night was -14 F.
To keep warm I was curled up in a ball in the bottom of my sleeping bag and I had on 3-5 layers of clothes on all parts of my body.

The very south end of Bryce canyon national park (it's not really a canyon--more like the edge of a plateau).
